About Me

I ‘m a Chartered Accountant, trained and qualified with Grant Thornton.

I was a partner with Moore Stephens Bath but now work from home to avoid the daily commute to the office.

My expertise is with small to medium size businesses and personal tax, trusts and charities.

I am sole director and shareholder and practise as Alan Cavill Ltd.

I was born in Bristol but have lived in Downend for most of my life and was a pupil at Chipping Sodbury Grammar School.

When not working my outside interests are supporting the blue team in Bristol and occasional attendance watching Bristol Bears.

To keep fit I am a regular participant in the Eastville Park Run and running in the Bristol Half Marathon. Somehow. I managed to complete the London Marathon nine times.

I was a member of Downend Round Table and was chairman in 1990/91.
